Rave’s core values include social and environmental responsibility, providing a safe and productive workplace and compliance with all applicable law and regulations. To that end, we voluntarily work to meet the Electronic Industry Code Conduct (EICC) and request and encourage our suppliers to do the same.
RAVE EICC COMPLIANCE 2016
The Rave corporate family strives to conserve energy and reduce waste and has implemented policies to encourage recycling and energy conservation to the extent we are able. To this end, Rave set goals to achieve a 0.5% reduction in energy use and to increase recycling by 5% per reporting period. The company was able to achieve a reduction in energy consumption for the Delray Beach Florida facility in 2015 by 1.30% over 2014 and in 2016 by 4.27% over 2015. The Livermore, California facility had an increase in energy use in 2015 by 33.7% over 2014 due in part to increased employee headcount and production needs. The California facility decreased in energy use in 2016 over 2015 by 35.7%. The overall reduction for the 2 year reporting in energy use was 7.5%, exceeding the goal. Likewise, efforts to increase recycling were successful. Total recycling increased substantially in 2016 over 2015, by 323%, and 2015 over 2014 by 109% far exceeding our goals.

The following is an excerpt from the Company Employee Handbook:
Company’s values include social and environmental responsibility, providing a safe and productive workplace, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. To that end, Company voluntarily works to meet the Electronic Industry Code of Conduct (EICC) and requires all employees to assist in this compliance by taking the following actions:
Recycle – After use, place all recyclable materials in the recycling bins and containers while in the workplace. Bins and containers for recycling paper, aluminum cans, cardboard, batteries, glass, and plastics are provided for your use. If you are unsure whether an item may be recycled or if you need additional bins/containers at your location, please contact the Company Site Safety Officer.
Conserve – Please turn off lights and non-essential electronic equipment when not in use. This includes powering off computers and monitors when you leave for the day. If you are unsure whether you should power off a particular item of equipment, ask your supervisor or the Company Site Safety Officer.
The Company periodically reviews performance to these goals and reports its progress to management, to certain customers, and to all employees and the public at www.ravenano.com. Please see the website for details of Rave’s 2016 performance and goals.
Company management asks every employee to work hard to help improve our performance in these important areas for 2017. Thank you for your cooperation.
